Devidas Purbhoodas Kothari Pyaav

                               

Pyaav or public drinking water fountains are a unique architectural expression that form a part of the socio-cultural heritage of the city of Mumbai. Installed during the late 19^th and 20^th century, they showcase distinct philanthropic initiatives in form of water charity.

 

This pyaav was built in 1923 by Shri. Devidas Purbhoodas Kothari in loving memory of his late daughter Leelavati Tribhuvandas.
